usafr_florezMy commander and I have talked about a new unit coin for a long time. I had seen coins on the internet, but was a little hesitant to place an order without seeing a finished product. I came across Tammany’s website. Her shop is in San Antonio, so I thought I would stop by. We went in with a good design, but I still wasn’t convinced it was going to be what I had envisioned. Over several weeks, we finalized the design and placed our order. A couple of weeks into the process, I contacted Tammany to inform her that my commander would be retiring on 4 March 2012, and if it were possible to get the coin by then since she was instrumental in getting the new coin. Tammany worked her magic and we received the coin in time to include it in her shadow box. When I picked up the coin, the look on my face said it all. How can you take a one dimensional concept and make it look amazing!! I told her she was an “angel” and most of all, my squadron loves the coin. Tammany truly supports and respects the military and I will always consider her part of my Air Force family. Thank you!

Thank you!CMSgt Christopher Florez, USAFR
